We are TWO WEEKS away, people! I can already tell that we don't have enough time on this trip. Funny that I didn't even want to go in the beginning.
We've been doing some last minute preparations.
I've been looking at the weather and it's upper 90's low 100's with 85% humidity. Whew! That's gonna be a sauna. We're packing light breathable fabrics and mentally preparing for the "washcloth in the face" feeling when we exit the airport.
We've also been tanning the last couple of weeks so we don't burn.
This Saturday we're renting some pool time at Thunder Reef Divers to refresh our SCUBA skills. It's been a few years and we want to make sure we're comfortable to do the basics - you know, breathe under water.
We also need to pull down my backpack from storage to start packing. It's not as if I'll need any of these clothes here in the Pacific Northwest. And I'm taking very little in the way of beauty supplies. I figure I'll be a sweaty mess most of the time so what's the point of putting on make-up and fixing my hair? That's what tans and hats are for :).
I think Eric is already packed.
I've also been watching Youtube videos on how to drive a scooter. Been trying to figure out if I want to rent my own or just ride on the back with Eric. The only problem with riding on the back is when we both have packs. How does that all fit? I think it'll be a last minute decision. No, we're not renting a scooter in Bangkok. That would most likely be suicide.
So... we leave 14 days from today. Seems unreal and can't wait! The next post will most likely be from the airplane or Bangkok.
Laew phop kan mai na ka (see you again)!
